Had a wonderful stay during a week in town for work. Room was very clean, bedding and towels were clean. Internet was fast and could connect very quickly. Microwave and refrigerator were a plus. It's an older motel but was excellent for my stay. Brings back childhood memories of family vacations. I will definitely stay again when in the area.
Dave and his wife went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Loved the room. Super clean, beds were comfy and loved the knotty pine walls. We will definitely stay again!
Was looking for a place to stay and we were not the normal highways. Kind of off the and path. Came across the Pocahontas motel. I am in a wheelchair. Dave thought owner was great came out with a tape measure. Make sure I could fit in the room. Room was clean comfortable. I don't know if it was the mountain air but I slept for probably 10 hours. My handicap van the door wasn't shutting. Dave actually went clean everything out lose it up it shuts better than it did was new thanks a lot Dave
Stayed there for almost a week, super clean, super nice people at the front desk. They even have all kinds of snacks, drinks and toiletry items even phone charges. My coworker and I had separate rooms back there in the U shaped area. We liked it. They even had a nice gas grill and charcoal grill w/ charcoal. ABSOLUTELY the best bang for your buck in that area. Oh and they are UTV friendly too. I would DEFINITELY stay here again and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a nice place to stay.
Best place to stay in the area, hands down. The management went over and beyond to fulfill any accommodations; even helped us with a minor fix on our van! The room was nice and clean. You can't go wrong choosing to stay here. Recommended for sure!
Very clean, great people who were very attentive, recently nicely renovated exterior and bathrooms, interior appliances and mattress would benefit from replacement.
The owners of this place are just wonderful. Talk about small town hospitality. I checked in very late one night and was given a room without heat and it was so cold. I tried to get ahold of the guy but the doorbell was out and I didn’t think to call. The next morning I spoke to him and he gave me a free nights stay with a room upgrade with the jacuzzi! That’s how you go above and beyond for your business. The owner also shared some of his endearing life story with me. Truly a man who has overcome a lot in his life and is trying to better his establishment for the small community he lives in. ATV-ers and out of town-ers alike would be lucky to stay a night here. As far as the inn itself, the suites are worth the extra money. Regular rooms are clean and comfy. Old building, but well kept. Highly recommend.
